Happy Birthday iMac!  


In the words of Dave Ward:

"On May 6, 1998 Apple announced the iMac. A new concept in computers, the all-in-one, translucent "bondi blue" iMac involved some very controversial design decisions including the absence of a floppy disk drive, and dumping the standard SCSI cable connection system in favor of a new connection method called USB for which almost no peripheral devices existed. The iMac presumed that people would swap files through the Internet rather than on magnetic disks, but many people thought Apple was crazy, but the computer sold in phenomenal numbers. In retrospect it's clear that Apple was entirely right. USB is the standard connection system now. And floppy disks? Who uses floppy disks?"

Bi-yearly update on my life.  Here goes:



Work, work, work.  Then work some more.
Sometimes time for a weekend in Canada with the boyfriend?
Then more work.

If I can fit shoots in there, I do.  
It doesn't help that I've put on 20lbs since I started dating that damn Canadian.
So nekkid shoots until I become less of a chubster.

Here's the bi-yearly update on my life!!

I know I haven't posted anything in forever.  I went to Canada all summer and haven't shot much this fall, but as soon as I remember to remind Dave that I've still never gotten a proper CD of images from him, I'll post lots more stuff.  

My "Oh, just 15 hours a week or so, mostly over three days in the middle of the week" job has turned into much more than that, so I work all the time. (Sally Beauty Supply-  I sell shampoo to old ladies!)
My car is sad and broken so I can't travel for shoots, but if anyone local is interested in snapping some pictures and can come to my area then let me know!  Perhaps something could be worked out?


*ahem*  My subscription is about to run out.  I have a job and can pay for it myself, but wouldn't that money be better spent on cat toys?  Please, think of my kitties.  Donate today!

Still still alive, but just barely.

Been a pretty crazy few weeks in DanAland, what with working and school and animal woes:

We had to have our ancient dog put down out of mercy.
We didn't get out cat fixed in time and she got knocked up on her first heat.  She had 4 kittens and they all died within a week of birth.  
My orange cat, Biafra, my total mama's boy, disappeared.  He's not the type to wander and the neighbors all say they haven't seen him.
My mom's lap dog somehow was injured (we think she tried to bite a bike tire, she somehow escaped the house) and her face was basically torn away from her skull.  But they sewed all the flesh back on and while she looks very strange, she's alive and healing.  I must remember to take pictures before all her face fur grows back, her top lip is now very crooked.  She's got a Billy Idol sneer.  


I'm almost finished with school at Skagit.
I'll be in the graduation ceremony with the cap and gowns and stuff, but I won't officially get my degree until I do my Learning Into Action project over summer or in the fall.  
I've never officially graduated anything with a ceremony before.  Hell, I didn't even technically graduate 8th Grade, let alone High School.  So it's dorky and it may just be Skagit, but it's still important to me.  



I've finally done a new shoot!
I found a photographer friend who lives less than 2 hours away from me, unlike SOME people I know.  
So expect more in the weeks to come, I hope.



Also I'm going to be in Victoria, BC a lot over the summer so if you're a photographer up there, let me know!

Just checking in, kids.
I'm still alive!
Hope other people are too.  

Finals week is fast approaching, and with it tons of school work.
The day after my last class, I'm boarding a train and will be in Victoria BC for a week or two.

Which reminds me, if there are any Canadian photographers out there, let me know!  I'll be in that area a lot in the future.  
Perhaps even moving there?  
We shall see.  

Also starting a new job soon (as a beer wench) and I have no time at all for shooting, so I'm sorry for that.
